Why Time is Important

Time is always a critical when there is a case to be filed. Discrimination claims have a statute of limitations that runs as short as six months and up to two years. Claims against a municipal government or agency could have a deadline to send certain notices as short as 90 days. A statute of limitations is a legal deadline within which the claim must be filed in Court. For example, personal injury claims have a two-year statute of limitations, which means that the case must be filed in Court or with the appropriate agency from the time when the incident occurred or you lose your right to bring such claim. False claims or Qui Tam actions, have a "First-To-File Rule". Simply put, if someone else files before you, they are entitled to a Relator's fee.
